STUCCO

Built as a System Not Just a Finish

At Mr Gomez Construction, we install complete stucco systems, not just surface finishes.

True stucco performance depends on what’s behind the finish proper substrates, moisture management, detailing, and sequencing. That’s where experience matters most, and that’s where we focus our work.

We specialize in exterior stucco assemblies designed to look clean, perform long-term, and integrate correctly with the rest of the building envelope.

A System-Based Approach to Stucco

Many stucco issues don’t originate in the material itself.

They result from poor planning, trapped moisture, incorrect transitions, or treating stucco as a cosmetic layer instead of a system.

Our approach is disciplined and methodical:

• Evaluate the structure and existing substrate • Select the appropriate stucco system for the application • Plan drainage, flashings, and terminations • Execute each phase in the correct sequence • Finish with clean, consistent detailing

This approach reduces risk and delivers reliable, long-term performance.

Stucco Systems We Work With

We work with a wide range of stucco systems, allowing us to recommend the right solution based on performance requirements—not convenience.

• Traditional cement-stucco

Durable, impact-resistant systems suitable for many residential and commercial applications.

• EIFS (synthetic stucco systems)

High-performance systems offering design flexibility and insulation options when properly detailed.

• Cement board stucco assemblies

Used where substrate conditions or detailing require a different structural approach.

• Drainage & moisture-managed assemblies

Integrated systems designed to control water and allow proper drying behind the finish.

• Architectural moldings and details

Bands, trims, reveals, and custom profiles integrated cleanly into the stucco system.

Each system is selected and installed with attention to compatibility, drainage, and durability.

Not sure which system your project needs? We can help you determine the right approach.

Drainage & Moisture Management

Proper drainage is not a finish it’s a layer of protection built into the system.

We integrate drainage mats and moisture-managed assemblies that can be incorporated into traditional stucco, EIFS, or cement board systems, depending on the project’s needs.

These assemblies work together with:

• Weather-resistant barriers (WRB) or wrapping systems

• Flashings and terminations

• Weep paths and controlled drying space behind the finish

The goal is simple: manage water, allow drying, and reduce long-term risk, regardless of the stucco system or substrate.

Warranty Based on System & Scope

Our stucco work is supported by long-term warranties that typically range from 8 to 15 years, depending on the system installed and the scope of work.

Warranty Coverage is Based on:

• Proper substrate preparation • System selection • Integrated moisture management • Correct installation and detailing

Because each project is different, warranties are determined by the specific assembly and execution not by shortcuts or surface-level applications.

Who This Is For

Our stucco services are a strong fit for clients who value proper execution and long-term performance, not just appearance.

We work with homeowners, builders, and property managers who are looking for:

• A stucco system that is intentionally designed whether simple or layered based on the conditions of the building

• Clear recommendations rooted in structure, exposure, and performance, not assumptions

• A contractor who understands how substrates, WRB, drainage, reinforcement, and finishes work together as a complete assembly

• Exterior work done correctly from the start, with durability, moisture control, and longevity in mind

Not every project requires the same level of complexity. Some call for a straightforward stucco application, while others demand more integrated systems and coordination. Our role is to evaluate each project, recommend the appropriate system, and install it correctly so it performs as intended over time.

Whether your project is simple or requires a more advanced assembly, the right system makes all the difference. Let’s talk about what your building actually needs.

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle flashing and window/door transitions?

Yes. Stucco performance depends on proper integration at windows, doors, rooflines, decks, and penetrations. These details are planned as part of the system, not treated as afterthoughts.

Do you offer repairs as well as full replacements?

Yes. We evaluate existing conditions and recommend repairs when they can be done responsibly. If the assembly is compromised, we explain why a full replacement may be the safer long-term option.

Can you help determine the right stucco system for my project?

Absolutely. We guide clients through system selection using photos, samples, and project references to ensure the solution fits both performance needs and design goals.

If you’re planning a stucco project and want a contractor who understands the system from structure to finish, we’d be happy to review your project.

Request a stucco evaluation and let’s discuss the right approach for your exterior.
